Hey all! I’ve been reviewing all the comments and messages for last-minute event adjustments and just words of appreciation that this is a very much needed source for planning the week ahead in Lynchburg. Thank you all very much for the support. Please continue sharing with your family, friends and co-workers, and keep letting me know if there are any events I’ve missed. Thank you again. - Andrew
Lynchburg turns 250 this weekend: the James River Batteau Festival lands its historic boats at Riverfront Park for the "Forward to Freedom" celebration, the Central Virginia Fringe Festival closes its run with a world premiere, and Sweet Honey in the Rock brings Grammy-nominated a cappella to the Academy on Juneteenth. Add a free World Cup watch party, lucha libre and pro soccer at the stadium, and a 250-vehicle charity car show, and it's a big week. Here's everything going on:
Times and details can change after this is sent — for the latest, view this post on the web (the "view in browser" link up top). I post corrections there.
